About Us
Interior Leather Surfaces, Inc. is a manufacturer, finisher, fabricator and purveyor of fine quality leather. We produce leather tile for floors, leather tile for walls, for ceilings and other architectural elements. In addition we fabricate leather wrapped wall panels, mouldings, and hand rails.
This American company, through its principals and associates, can trace its roots in the floor and wall designer trade back to the early 1950s.
Interior Leather Surfaces is privately held and remains uncompromising in its quest to supply only the finest products, informed professional advice and information and the best possible service. Consultation, fabrication and installation are all available, world wide.
Over the course of the next several years we aim to continue to spread the word that leather tile is the best kept secret in the interiors market.
We are constantly refining and reinventing more and better ways to use fine leather as a covering for floors, walls, etc. This year at HD Expo in Los Vegas we introduced laser engraved designs and borders on our leather tile and on custom leather wrapped mouldings. Our Palace Collection of oversized crown mouldings wrapped with leather, suede and Shagreen is not for everyone; but it drew an enthusiastic crowd.
The Staff
Greg Arnold, Managing Director
The following letters collected from his file of many, many client letters should tell you everything you need to know about who you are doing business with. Many of these letters are addressed to Greg, but as Greg says, “… it took a lot of support from the people around me to get letters like these”. Evan, Director of Client Services R&D and Technical Support, has been a major contributing force for many of the great letters we get. Greg is also quick to say that he has the good fortune, advantage and honor to have been trained in the Decorative Arts field by Arthur Stark, founder of Stark Carpet. Greg has also served as a Director at Scalamandre, as President of a corporate commercial partner-ship with Saxony Carpet, and as Chief Executive Officer of other companies in the field. Greg has also won National Cooking Contests and has appeared and cooked on the Oprah Winfrey Show (click here for picture). You can always get him to talk about cooking and to send you some of his all time favorite recipes.
Evan Q. Arnold, Manager, Client Services and Technical Support
Is the man with "Golden Hands" and a professional commitment and demeanor that has been acknowledged by clients, associates and competitors alike. Vincent M. Denich, Vice President, Operations
Vincent has been heavily involved in the consumer products industry for over 10 years and has his MBA in Finance and Management. With a proven background in business and information technology, Vincent brings a vast array of business experience, project management, and financial analysis to our team. He has integrated new, innovative technologies within several large organizations during the past decade, which have had a significant impact on their bottom line. Vincent's commitment to excellence and creativity will undoubtedly prove to be an asset to our unique organization.
John Larrabee
John is our resident leather expert who has been trained at some of the leading tanneries and finishers in the U.S. and Italy. John, his assistant Maria and the rest of his team are the people responsible for finding, purchasing and finishing the right hides and skins for use in the wide variety of residential, hospitality and commercial projects where our expertise is called upon. Top of their wish list: A bio-engineered cow measuring 12 feet wide x 12 feet long.
We are indeed privileged to have such dedicated, experienced people on our team, and to be working with extraordinary designers and architects involved in such fabulous projects around the globe.
Evelyn "ET" Tennenbaum, Vice President, Creative Arts
European born and trained both here and abroad, ET is largely responsible for the wide range of designs and patterns available from our library, as well as the creation of original designs and logos. ET is definitely the right person to consult with (if you want someone to consult with) when choosing a historic or documented period pattern. As an aside, she has a Black Belt in shopping.
